The offseason is a time when NFL players improve their skills, work on endeavors beyond football as well as ponder their future with their current team or a different team. The offseason also marks the time when Madden ratings are released, and Tuesday’s news revolved around NFL running backs.

When it comes to rushing yards, speed is the name of the game, and the player with the highest overall speed rating in Madden 2021 is Raheem Mostert of the San Francisco 49ers with a striking 95 overall speed rating, per NFL on ESPN.

As you can see, Mostert tops the list, but who is No. 2? That’s right, Mostert’s teammate Matt Breida, who also clocked in with a sky-high rating of 95. Couple those two speedsters with the team’s sometimes-starter Tevin Coleman and you have one of the quickest rushing corps in the entire league.

Beyond the two 49ers studs, the top 10 was rounded out by third-year rusher Phillip Lindsay of the Denver Broncos, rookie Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts, second-year backup Tony Pollard of the Dallas Cowboys, special teams returner T.J. Logan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, likely starter Ronald Jones II of the Bucs, Khalfani Muhammad of the Denver Broncos (who was drafted by the Titans in 2017), receiver and rusher Nyheim Hines of the Indianapolis Colts, with Pro-Bowler Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns coming in at No. 10 overall with a 92 rating.

Certainly, Mostert is one of the most electric speedsters in the game, so let’s hope his lofty Madden rating leads to big production in the 2020 season as well.
