The Chicago Bears general manager search, along with their quest for a new head coach, has been the franchise's most pressing matter over the last several weeks. With general manager candidates such as Kansas City Chiefs Executive Director of Player Personnel Ryan Poles, Tennessee Titans' Monti Ossenfort and Ron Carthon of the San Francisco 49ers, among others, Chicago has casted a wide net for the next leader of their front office. Ryan Poles, who has been a member of the Chiefs front office for the past 13 seasons, has reportedly agreed to be the next Bears GM. Poles had secured second interviews with both the Bears and the Minnesota Vikings, though it appears he will likely be settling in at the Windy City.

The Bears are an attractive landing spot for someone like Poles, who helped build young talent around Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

That task is similar to the one currently faced by the former Chiefs front office executive, who will attempt to steer the Bears back on the right track by building around young signal-caller Justin Fields.

Ryan Poles has a great opportunity to build something nearly from the ground up with the Bears.
