Why The Rays Will Cover The Spread/Win
The Rays are 25th in the majors in runs scored while sitting 24th in batting average, 20th in on-base percentage, and 28th in slugging. Isaac Paredes leads the way this year. He is hitting .281 on the year with a .360 on-base percentage. Paredes has ten home runs and 15 doubles with 38 RBIs. He has also scored 27 times. Yandy Diaz has also been solid this year. He has a .259 batting average with four home runs and 30 RBIs. He has also scored 27 times. Also hitting well this year is Amed Rosario. He is hitting .299 on the year with a .321 on-base percentage. Rosario has 11 doubles, three triples, and two home runs, good for 23 RBIs and 17 runs scored. Further, Twins pitchers will need to be concerned if Jose Caballero gets on the basepath. He has stolen 22 bases this year.
The hottest bat in the lineup may belong to Ben Rortvedt. Rortvedt is hitting .308 in the last week with a home run and five RBIs. He has scored just once though. Jose Siri is scoring a lot as of late as well. While he is hitting .269 in the last week, he has two home runs. three RBIs and has scored six times in seven games.

He is hitting .308 with a .370 on-base percentage. He has eight home runs with 35 RBIs and 34 runs scored.
Carlos Correa has also been hot as of late. He is hitting .548 in the last week with three home runs. He has scored nine times and driven in nine runs. Carlos Santana is also hitting well. He is hitting .391 with a .462 on-base percentage in the last week. He has two home runs, nine RBIs, and six runs scored in the last week. Rounding out the hottest bats is Royce Lewis. Lewis is hitting .417 in the last week with four home runs and seven RBIs. He has also scored nine times in the last week.

While the Rays have some solid bats, and have a few guys hitting well, that will not matter in this one. The Twins have more players hitting at a higher level, not only this week but this year. Pablo Lopez has not been great this year, but Aaron Civale has struggled heavily. Civale has not been the winning pitcher since April 9 against the Angels. The Rays have gone 2-9 in his 11 starts since. Take the Twins in this one.
