The Buffalo Bills made a huge splash in free agency on Wednesday, landing star free-agent linebacker Von Miller on a massive six-year, $120 million deal. They followed that up with another solid addition, albeit far less expensive, in signing tight end OJ Howard. According to Adam Schefter, Howard will join the Bills on a one-year deal worth $3.5 million.

The Bills made their intentions of winning a championship crystal clear with Wednesday's pair of free agency moves. Howard had somewhat fallen out of favor in Tampa Bay over the past few years following the addition of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. After having recorded at least 26 receptions through his first three years in the league, Howard combined for just 25 catches over his past two seasons.

He'll look to bounce back and live up to his potential as a former first-round pick now that he's catching passes from Josh Allen in Buffalo. Schefter notes that Howard's contract could rise to $5 million via incentives, so he'll be hoping to get involved in the offense early on, lining up opposite Dawson Knox.

Throughout his five-year NFL career, Howard has 119 receptions and 15 touchdowns, having featured in 59 games, starting 46. At 6-foot-6, 251 pounds, Howard fits the mold of the big-bodied tight end that most quarterbacks love to target, so hopefully, he can enjoy a career resurgence playing in Buffalo with Allen.

It was a huge Wednesday for Bills fans, as the team dished out a significant chunk of cash in order to give the team a better shot at reaching the Super Bowl this season.
