Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is putting the recent Damar Hamlin conspiracy theory to rest: the NFL or anyone else is NOT using a body double to make it look Hamlin is alive.

The Bills safety is truly alive and well, and Allen thinks the latest rumor surrounding his teammate is just “stupid.”

The conspiracy theory started when Hamlin made an appearance during the Bills' Divisional Round showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals. While a lot of people celebrated after seeing him–considering his on-field cardiac arrest that hospitalized and threatened his life–it led to others talking that he actually died due to the COVID-19 vaccine and the NFL is hiding it. The root of the talk was Hamlin's attire, as he attended the game wearing a red outfit, with his head covered with a hoodie, mask and glasses.

“Yeah, that's stupid,” Allen said. “One, that's Damar's swag. … Two, he was in the locker room with us pre-game. Yes, that was Damar. There's absolutely zero chance. That's THE Damar Hamlin. That's our guy. That's our brother.”

For what it's worth, aside from Josh Allen, Damar Hamlin himself has responded to the “body double” conspiracy theory. He mocked those talks by tweeting “clone” along with a photo of him in front of a mural made for him.

The Bills safety then sent a follow-up tweet telling everyone that they'll hear from him very soon. Hopefully when Hamlin makes an official appearance, all those bonkers discussions about the NFL using a body double will end.
