The New England Patriots turned Week 13's matchup against the Buffalo Bills into a track meet in a way that had not been seen in the NFL in decades. Safeties Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, and the rest of the Bills' stop unit likely had no idea that New England was going to almost exclusively run the ball.

When asked whether Buffalo should be 'embarrassed by the way it got handled by the Patriots, Hyde and Parsons had the reaction you'd probably expect from a couple of players coming off from an incredibly frustrating setback.

For context, the Patriots threw the ball just three times and completed only two of those. Mac Jones was virtually reduced into a backfield ornament by New England, which ran the ball a total of 46 times for 222 rushing yards and a touchdown. According to Elias Sports (via ESPN), what the Patriots did against the Bills was something that had not been pulled off in over 40 years.

According to Elias Sports, the Patriots had the fewest yards passing and became the first team to attempt just one one pass in the first half since at least 1978.

The Bills dropped to 7-5 after the loss to New England and will just have to find a way to rebound in Week 14 against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
