Prepare for a twisted take on the classic Pinocchio story with the upcoming horror movie, “Pinocchio: Unstrung.” From the creators of “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” and the in-development sequel, as well as the upcoming “Bambi: The Reckoning” and “Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare,” Jagged Edge Productions is expanding its twisted public domain horror universe, CBR reports.

Bloody Disgusting exclusively shared a first-look tease of “Pinocchio: Unstrung,” providing a glimpse into the eerie and dark reinterpretation of the iconic character. The teaser and title treatment hint at a more monstrous and horror-infused version of Pinocchio. While plot details are yet to be revealed, the film is part of a broader cinematic universe that includes horror parody versions of children's characters from the public domain.
