Keith Thurman insists that he's not impressed by Terence Crawford's epic KO win over Shawn Porter.

Last month, WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford reminded fans about the reason why he's arguably the biggest draw in his division by becoming the first fighter to ever stop Shawn Porter.

While some have raved about Crawford's performance, former welterweight champ Keith Thurman reckoned that nothing is special about it.

“I was a little surprised, but I wasn’t surprised,” Thurman said of Crawford vs. Porter via Boxing Scene. “Shawn consistently was doing what he was doing without any changes or adjustments and, for Crawford, that allowed him to capitalize and settle in. It was a great performance by both fighters. Crawford definitely had to battle it out, he definitely had to endure.”

“The beauty is that [Craword] did make a statement by being the first person to stop Shawn Porter, but for whatever reason it wasn’t terrifying,” he pointed out. “It was not scary. It was not a rated R movie. I’m not frightened. If anything, I believe I present more than what Shawn did.”

Knowing Keith Thurman's flamboyant personality, this could just be his pitch for a welterweight showdown with Crawford.

As it stands, “One Time” is eyeing for a crack at the title after two-and-a-half years of inactivity and he wants either of the current welterweight champions–Crawford, Errol Spence Jr. (IBF, WBC) and Yordenis Ugas (WBA).

However, Thurman is well aware that he must put on a convincing performance against Mario Barrios first.
