Atlanta Braves outfielder Joc Pederson has declined his mutual option for the 2022 season after a successful World Series run, according to various outlets.

Originally with the Chicago Cubs to start the year, Joc Pederson was traded for a minor leaguer to replace the loss of Ronald Acuña Jr. as the Braves looked to make a playoff run. The outfielder held a respectable batting average of .249 while hitting seven home runs, eight doubles, and 22 RBI's during the regular season.

In the NLDS, “Joctober” clobbered two pinch-hit home runs against the Milwaukee Brewers to aid in a 3-1 series win. Against the heavily favored Dodgers in the NLCS, the postseason hero hit a two-run home run against ace Max Scherzer. He proved to be a reliable weapon as a power hitter and adequate outfielder when necessary, while providing valuable playoff experience for an organization that hadn't won the World Series since 1995.

With two World Series titles under his belt, Pederson's ability to hit home runs, as well as his postseason experience, should be something a plethora of teams look for as they look to make their own journey for a championship this upcoming season. He'll be sorely missed by the famed Atlanta Braves.
