Corey Kluber is a name that has been talked about as a potential trade candidate this offseason. As the Cleveland Indians look to move him at the right price, the Milwaukee Brewers have become one of the teams that are interested in making a blockbuster trade to bring him on board.

According to a report from Jon Morosi of the MLB Network, the Brewers are among the few teams that have been discussing a Kluber trade with the Indians.

Milwaukee is quickly making it clear that they do not intend to make winning the NL Central a one-year thing. They are trying to bolster the one area of their roster that could use some help.

Last season, the Brewers were a better offensive team and their bullpen was nearly unbeatable. Adding a legitimate ace like Kluber would fill a hole that teams like the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers could take advantage of. Kluber has been one of the top pitchers in baseball over the past couple of seasons.

Last season with the Indians, Kluber ended the year with a 20-7 record to go along with a 2.89 ERA. At 32 years old, Kluber would be well worth the trade for the Brewers. He would add an ace along with veteran leadership and postseason experience.

If the Brewers do want to acquire Kluber, they are going to have to be aggressive. With teams like the Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, and Cincinnati Reds, the price will be driven up. Milwaukee has the assets to make a big deal, but they will have to decide if Kluber is the guy that can power them to a World Series appearance.

Expect to hear more about Kluber in the near future. Cleveland definitely seems open to trading him and the Brewers could be an ideal fit for him.
