Tom Brady may have spent just two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but head coach Bruce Arians clearly has his respect.

In the now-ex Bucs quarterback's retirement announcement, he made sure to send a shoutout for Bruce Arians

“To my head coach Bruce Arians, thanks for putting up with me! Your firm leadership and guidance were ideal. There is no way we could have had success without your experience, intuition, and wisdom. I am very grateful.”

The mutual respect built between the two during their time together in Tampa Bay is obviously palpable. In his immediate reaction to the retirement news, Arians weighed in on his experience coaching the arguable GOAT of the NFL.

Bruce Arians on Tom Brady: “Tom joined us as the greatest football player of all time, and he quickly showed everyone in our organization what that meant,” said Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians. “He set a standard and helped create a culture that took our team to the mountaintop.”

Tom Brady leaves a pair of massive shoes to fill in Tampa Bay next season as the Buccaneers are suddenly a franchise in flux. But with a Super Bowl win and two of arguably the most eventful years in the team's history with the greatest player of all time, the trade-off was well worth it for Bruce Arians and Co.
