Rob Gronkowski showed his admiration for Tom Brady after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback got something that he hasn't won before: the Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award.

The honor, given to individuals who have made a lasting impact and contribution to the world of sports, was awarded to Brady this past Sunday. Naturally, Gronk was hyped up for his teammate and what he has done in the NFL and beyond.

Sure enough, Gronk wouldn't be Gronk without the jokes and fun message, as he poked fun at the Buccaneers star seemingly playing for a lifetime now.

“Tom deserves to win this Lifetime Achievement Award because he’s been playing for nearly an entire lifetime, so he deserves a lifetime award. It only makes sense,” Gronkowski said, per Sports Illustrated. “On a serious note, Tom is the absolute best at what he does.

“He’s an exceptional player on and off the field. He’s dedicated to the game, constantly working to improve himself and others each and every day. And he’s always working to put the team in the best possible position to succeed each year, year in and year out. I have a great deal of respect for him as a person and as a friend. Congrats, Tommy. You’re a lifetime achiever. Let’s go.”

Tom Brady's story is far from over. While he initially retired early in the offseason, he has since decided to return to the Buccaneers in hopes of getting back to the Super Bowl and winning it all. He may be a Lifetime Achiever, but he remains as competitive as ever.

As for Rob Gronkowski, Buccaneers fans can only hope he'll join Brady for another stint with the Buccaneers. He has made it known that he plans to play for Tampa Bay if he does return, but as things currently stand, he hasn't made a decision yet on whether he'll play or retire.

Regardless of his decision, he and Brady will always be brothers and good friends, that's for sure.
