After Wednesday's night heartbreaking loss, all eyes are on reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. This year's Defensive Player of The Year (and probable back-to-back MVP) has his team in an unenviable spot as the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks are down 0-2 against a fierce Miami Heat squad.

Former NBA champion Richard Jefferson went out on a limb to give his hot take on the Bucks superstar. Jefferson, who is now an analyst for ESPN, tweeted out that Antetokounmpo might be more of a ‘Scottie Pippen' and that he would need a ‘Michael Jordan' for him to be truly successful.

Is Jefferson speaking facts?

It's no question that the 25-year old has been the leader of the Bucks both offensively and defensively. He led Milwaukee to a league-best 56-17 regular-season record and had another MVP-like season averaging 29.5 points per game, 13.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo's length and presence have also been key for the Bucks defense all-season long, which is ranked best in the league, which is probably the main reason he walked away with this year's DPOY award. And, with averages like that, he'll probably also snag this year's MVP trophy and win it again this year.

Unfortunately, all these accolades have fallen short so far in their second-round match-up against the Heat. The Heat has switched it up against Giannis, giving him different looks offensively. The reigning MVP had a quiet Game 1 where he only had 18 points (just 3 in the fourth quarter) and couldn't help the Bucks against the red-hot Heat. On Wednesday, Antetokounmpo had a better night offensively with 29 points and 14 rebounds but still ended up taking a 0-2 series deficit.

What else does the ‘Greek Freak' have to do to prove his worth?
