The Milwaukee Bucks received a brilliant gift on Christmas Day ahead of a showdown with the Boston Celtics. With Giannis Antetokounmpo clearing protocols on Friday, he's likely to play on Saturday. But on top of that, the defending champions will finally see the season debut of Donte DiVincenzo, who hasn't played since the playoffs due to an ankle injury.

He announced his return on Twitter:

This is huge for the Bucks because DiVincenzo is one of their starters and a mainstay offensively. He was expected to be back in the mix on December 11th against the Indiana Pacers, but the guard, unfortunately, entered COVID-19 protocols just before that contest.

The former Villanova standout started 66 games for Milwaukee in 2020/21, averaging 10.4 points and 5.8 rebounds on a 38% clip from three-point land. He injured himself in the first round of the postseason against the Miami Heat and wasn't able to return. While it didn't hurt the Bucks' pursuit of a title, having him on the court undoubtedly makes them better, especially from a shooting standpoint.

The Bucks are slowly getting back to full strength after they were hit pretty hard by the virus. Despite being without Giannis for over a week, Mike Budenholzer's squad has managed to win two straight and sit at 21-13 on the season.
