The Phoenix Suns finally pulled the trigger on a deal for Eric Bledsoe on Tuesday as they sent the disgruntled point guard to the Milwaukee Bucks for Greg Monroe and picks. As it so happens, the Sporting News has posted a video of the exact moment Monroe discovered he had been traded to the Suns.

Upon reading a message from his phone during practice, the veteran big man calmly took off his practice jersey, packed up his things, and most likely went up to start saying his goodbyes to his Bucks teammates and other members of the organization.

In the moment, Monroe most likely didn't enjoy the fact that he goes from a likely playoff team in the Bucks to potentially one of the worst teams in the league in the Suns. However, there’s still a possibility he gets bought out by Phoenix, which could actually see him land in a more favorable situation than the Bucks.

Still, the video is a sobering reminder of what a tough business the NBA can be. Job security is hardly ever guaranteed except for a select few, and a trade that’ll alter a player's entire life could come when they least expect it. Hopefully for Monroe, he eventually ends up in a situation that's favorable for him when it's all said and done.
