The Chicago Bulls are currently 3-6 through the first couple weeks of the season, and this team certainly was hoping for a bit of a better start to the season. There is obviously still a lot of time for things to improve, but things do need to change sooner rather than later. The Bulls made it into the play-in tournament last season, and they are looking to build on that momentum this season. Chicago knows that there are a lot of things that they can work on, and one of those things is rebounding.

Second chance points are points that you never want to give up, so this is a priority for the Bulls. Head coach Billy Donovan broke down what he has seen gone wrong with the rebounding, and he thinks it needs to improve a lot.

“I think it needs to be a lot better,” Billy Donovan said to the media on Sunday. “… We've gotten hurt, quite honestly, in some rotational stuff where ‘Vuc’ [Nikola Vucevic] has had to come or ‘Drum’ [Andre Drummond] has had to come to protect the rim. We need to sink and fill on the backside and someone to kind of crack back down sometimes in those bigs. … When threes go up, we've got to get out of the habit of running towards the basket, because most of those shots are going to be kicked out a little bit higher, and those little ones that go over your head are the ones they get extra possessions on.”

This is clearly something that Donovan and the Bulls are focusing on a lot right now, and it will be interesting to see if it improves in the coming weeks.
