A lot of doubts started creeping up about Kyler Murray's fit in the NFL. He was often regarded as too short for the position while even claiming that his skills would not be up to par with most quarterbacks. A chance is given to him by the Arizona Cardinals in the draft and a few moments later, he is now entering his sixth year in the league. Accolades started coming his way but the postseason success is not quite there yet. But, that pursuit and unwavering commitment to win a Super Bowl with Coach Jonathan Gannon is unfazed.

Cardinals QB can't wait for the season

Kyler Murray is hyped up about entering his sixth season in the NFL. The two-time Pro Bowl selection has had quite a season and got to bounce back after tearing his ACL nearly two seasons ago. Now, the Cardinals quarterback is looking to produce bigger numbers and notch yet another spot in the postseason. He even unveiled how intense this feeling of getting back into the field was, via Darren Urban.

“Am I excited? Hell yeah. I believe in what we can do,” Kyler Murray said.

The 2023 season was the first time in his professional career that he did not get to play more than 10 games. But, he still poured his heart out whenever Coach Jonathan Gannon gave him the opportunity to run the Cardinals offense.

Murray was able to record 1,799 passing yards on a 65.7% completion percentage. His throws have also gotten better after the ACL discomfort as he is now getting an average gain of 6.7 yards per attempt. The lethality he brings whenever the end zone is near also still exists. He led the Cardinals to 10 touchdowns. Those numbers might just go higher because of Marvin Harrison Jr. joining the team.

There are still some concerns that the Cardinals need to fix so that they make a deep run for the Super Bowl. One of which is getting stacked and having the wind knocked out of him more than twice per game. But, he did get better at preventing the other squads from getting picks off his passes in the past year.

There are a lot of exciting things that Jonathan Gannon's Cardinals might bring to the NFL. They are not quite the Super Bowl favorites just yet but there is a probability that they become a steady riser in the standings. For now, it is a great sign that the Cardinals love having Murray around.

Michael Bidwill even outlined how much they love how the Cardinals shine when Murray is on the field, via Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports.

“As soon as he stepped on that field, the team rallied around him and you saw what he did. You look at our production on offense. We went from a good running game team. So, I think we were top five in the league after he stepped onto the field for those last eight games. Scoring went up. The ability to control the ball. He just brought a confidence level and leadership to the offense and to the entire team. I think it was palpable,” the Cardinals owner said.

Will this be the year that he leads this team back into the postseason?
