According to Around The NFL on Twitter, Los Angeles Chargers star players Joey Bosa and Keenan Allen will both be questionable for this Sunday's game. Their head coach, Brandon Staley, however, says that both players are on the good side of that questionable tag and that he expects both to play. Regardless, against a Minnesota Vikings team that has yet to lose a game by more than a touchdown for the entire 2021 season, this is less than ideal. Especially for a team that is competing to stay in an AFC West divisional race that is one of the tightest in all of football.

If either of the players in question does in fact end up missing the game and/or they are hobbled by injury, that could be the slight edge that this scrappy Vikings squad needs in order to come away with the win in Los Angeles. Despite these teams sitting with opposite records–the Chargers are five and three and the Vikings are three and five, these teams are actually very close in terms of talent with most betting sites installing the Chargers as just two and a half point favorites.

Overall, the series record between the two sees the Vikings leading at seven wins to six for the Chargers, but the LA is 3-2 when playing at home. The last time they met was in 2019 when the Vikings welcomed the Chargers back to Los Angeles with a huge 20-point victory. This will be the Vikings' first time playing in SoFi stadium, however, as the Chargers were still in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum back then.
