The Los Angeles Chargers decided to have some fun with ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith after his Thursday morning blunder on First Take.

Smith was ready to fire away with his usual hot takes when the show ventured into previewing tonight's game between the Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs, but unfortunately, there were a few glaring errors in his commentary.

For starters, he seemed to have forgotten that the Chargers are no longer in San Diego. That's strike one.

Next up, he declared his love for Hunter Henry's play, which is interesting considering that the tight end tore his ACL back in May and has not played a single down of competitive football for the Chargers this season. That's strike two.

And to cap it off, Smith wanted everyone to know that he had his eyes on Derrick Johnson, who is not on the Chiefs' roster or any other NFL roster right now. That's strike 47.

Here's the visual evidence for those who think this couldn't actually be true.

Of course, this memorable performance led to plenty of reactions on social media, including a hilarious one from the Chargers themselves.

Well, at least the Chiefs don't have to worry about slowing down the magnificent quarterback-running back duo of Dan Fouts and LaDainian Tomlinson.

But even with those guys sitting this one out, it should be a must-watch game in Kansas City as both teams look to stay in the race for home-field advantage in the AFC.

And maybe the Chargers will be able to pick up a crucial win before they head back to San Diego.
