Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers and wife Tiffany are expecting their ninth child as per Eric Williams of ESPN.

Yes, that's right, the 36-year-old signal-caller already has eight children and will be adding one more.

The announcement came a week removed from the quarterback's most impressive performance of his career. Last week against the Arizona Cardinals, the seven-time Pro-Bowler completed 25 straight passes to set an NFL record.

He broke the record set by Mark Brunell back in 2006. The former Washington Redskins quarterback then completed 22 straight passes.

Rivers met his wife Tiffany in junior high school way back in 1994. They were married in May 2001 when Rivers was still a sophomore at NC State.

Together they have six girls, Halle, Sarah Catherine, Caroline, Grace, Rebecca and Clare; and a couple of boys, Peter and Gunner. With the addition of another child their family would be a whole unit on the field.

This season, the Chargers are on a roll they've won nine of their 12 games to earn a place in the playoff picture.

It was also their best record through 12 games since the 2009 season in which they finished the season 13-3.

This announcement could serve as an inspiration to Rivers, who is currently playing at his best. His 2018 campaign is one of the best that he's ever had so far. He has 3,418 passing yards and 28 touchdowns with only six interceptions.

In their Sunday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rivers completed 26 of his 36 pass attempts for 299 yards and two touchdowns. It was all worth it, as the Chargers won in OT 33-30.
