After Monday night's devastating defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Chargers aren't ready to make a change under center. Without any hesitation, Anthony Lynn said that Philip Rivers will remain the starting quarterback for Los Angeles per Gilbert Manzano.

Over the past two weeks, Rivers has mightily struggled by completing only 54.2 percent of his attempts for 560 yards, three touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Above all, the Chargers' past two games have ended with the veteran signal-caller throwing a game-ending interception.

Altogether, Rivers has aired it out for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. Rivers' 14 interceptions are the second-most in the NFL, only behind Jameis Winston of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With the loss on Monday night, Los Angeles has now lost all seven of their games by seven or fewer points. Unlike last year, the Chargers just haven't been able to come out on top in the games that have come down to the wire.

While the offense as a whole has been inconsistent, Rivers is having arguably the worst season of his 16-year career. The veteran quarterback has plenty of weapons to get the ball to in Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Hunter Henry, Melvin Gordon, and Austin Ekeler.

Currently, Tyrod Taylor is sitting behind Rivers as the team's backup quarterback. Taylor hasn't started in an NFL game since Week 3 of the 2018 season when he was with the Cleveland Browns. Of course, Baker Mayfield ended up replacing Taylor as Cleveland's starter for the rest of the year.

As for the Chargers, it doesn't seem to be a possibility that Rivers is benched in favor of Taylor anytime soon. Even though Rivers continues to start, you have to wonder if this is the last year that Rivers puts on a Chargers' uniform.
