Many people are expecting the matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Buffalo Bills to be a shootout, with both teams scoring touchdowns early. Following a touchdown from Josh Allen and the Bills, Justin Herbert delivered a strike to Keenan Allen for a touchdown.

On third-and-goal, Herbert didn't want to settle for a field goal, especially in a game that could be a back-and-forth affair. The rookie quarterback then found his favorite target in Allen for the score.

Allen got off to a slow start to the season in Week 1, catching just four passes for 37 yards with Tyrod Taylor as his quarterback. However, since Herbert has stepped in for Taylor, Allen has reverted back to being one of the premier weapons in the NFL.

The sure-handed wide receiver came into Week 12 with 81 receptions for 835 yards and six touchdowns for the Chargers. His touchdown reception on Sunday against the Bills now gives him five consecutive games with a receiving touchdown.

On the other hand, Herbert continues to solidify himself as the front-runner in the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The No. 6 overall pick has shown off his strong arm this season, throwing for 2,699 yards and 22 touchdowns before facing the Bills.

Even though the Chargers aren't in the playoff race in the AFC, they have a bright future with Herbert and Allen.
