One of the major questions surrounding All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard's free-agency decision with the Los Angeles Clippers was just how healthy the two-time Finals MVP was, and how many regular-season games he intends to play.

While leading the Toronto Raptors to the Canadian franchise's first title in history, the 28-year-old superstar only appeared in 60 regular-season games, instead opting to take extended rests and “load management” to further improve his own health—which ended up paying dividends for Leonard's 2019 playoff run.

Leonard does not intend on fulfilling his past load management rests for the Clippers during the 2019-20 NBA season, however. Per ClutchPoints' Tomer Azarly on Twitter, there's “no plan laid out” for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year, L.A.'s prized offseason acquisition.

“It's different this season. Last year I was going in with the injury i was dealing with the year before… This year, I'm feeling good. I'm feeling way better than I was at the start of last season. There's really no plan laid out.”

Leonard will pair on the wing with All-Star Paul George, another shrewd summer addition by the Clippers, trading for the former Indiana Pacers forward by exchanging ex-lottery pick in guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexnader and forward Danilo Gallinari, plus picks, for the ex-Oklahoma City Thunder player.

The Leonard and George combination is a salivating duo on the brink of the forthcoming NBA, with analysts seeing the Clippers as a top contender in 2019-20. They'll have to face LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Staples Center rival Lakers, as the two match up on the first game of the season next month.
