Is Jacoby Brissett the answer for the Indianapolis Colts?

According to Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports, he isn't, at least, in the long-term. In his latest seven-round 2020 NFL mock draft, Wilson has the Colts selecting Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert with the No. 17 overall selection.

Here is what Wilson had to say about his decision to give Indianapolis a new quarterback:

“This might be the best-case scenario for Herbert, who hasn't played like a first-round pick this season. He can sit behind Jacoby Brissett, whose deal expires in 2020, and learn Frank Reich's offense in a low-pressure situation.”

To many, Herbert was thought to be the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft before he decided to play his senior season. That decision hasn't paid off too well, as for example, Wilson has him going at No. 17 overall. However, this was written before Oregon's upset over Utah in the Pac 12 Championship.

Herbert made the vaunted Utah defense look not so vaunted on Friday night. The Oregon Duck went 14 of 26 passing for 193 yards and one touchdown. His stat line does not depict how good he was in the game, as he batted off NFL-level throws seamlessly throughout the night.

Herbert, to many, is a franchise quarterback if he can shake off his inconsistencies. He's big (6-6, 238), has a strong arm, makes NFL throws regularly, is mobile, and can shred a defense. However, in this scenario, he waits a little bit while Brissett, theoretically, keeps the Colts afloat.

Colts fans, do you agree with the pick?
