The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was a full participant in practice today, putting him on track for a return to action this Sunday at home against the Denver Broncos. His second-year star receiver Ceedee Lamb, though, is much more questionable.

According to Tom Pelissero, Lamb was not able to practice after spraining his ankle on Wednesday. The Cowboys will have another practice on Friday that CeeDee Lamb could participate in. If he manages that, he could still be cleared for the game on Sunday.

The Cowboys were able to get by last week without Prescott, as they barely squeaked out a win over the Minnesota Vikings. Lamb, however, has not missed a game yet this season and he has accrued eight targets per game. The team's other receivers, Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup also have their own injuries to deal with.

Cooper has dealt with injuries throughout his career and this year has been no different. He played through a tough hamstring injury in his last game to snag the game-winning TD catch but has been a limited participant in practice for most of the year.

Gallup has not played since the first game of the season due to a calf injury and has just opened his 21-day window to practice coming off of the IR. With the Cowboys' top-two options currently healing, the team may need to use Gallup on the active roster instead of using his 21-day window to be activated for practice.

With all of their receivers not in tip-top shape for this contest, Dallas will need to attack the Denver Broncos with a stout rushing attack. The Cleveland Browns recently did that on Thursday Night Football and D'Ernest Johnson embarrassed them for almost 150 yards on the ground.

If Dallas can use that strategy, it could help Dak Prescott mitigate the loss of his star outside weapons. Dalton Schultz has also started to come into his own as a pass-catcher so he could be more heavily involved as well.
