Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams will not be ready to go for Monday Night Football, and he doesn't seem too happy about the decision.

“Sorry fans and friends I wont be on the field tonight. I've done everything I need to do and proved Im ready but I guess I don't know my body as well as others. Good luck out there boys,” the star wideout tweeted at 8:40 a.m. on Monday morning.

Adams is clearly placing the blame on the Packers for not allowing him to play. Interestingly, his tweet was taken down shortly after he posted it — indicating that perhaps somebody in Green Bay was not thrilled about the way in which he revealed his status for Monday.

“Packers’ WR Davante Adams announced he’s out for tonight’s game against the Falcons,” ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted. “He has felt ready to play but the Packers’ medical staff has been cautious with him, especially with Green Bay on a bye after this week.”

Monday will mark the second consecutive game Adams has missed with the hamstring issue he suffered in Green Bay's Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions. He had been listed as questionable for the Falcons matchup.

Adams missed four games in Oct. 2019 due to turf toe, though Aaron Rodgers and company won all four games. Still, Rodgers will certainly want his star wideout back on the field as soon as possible — especially in the wake of a potentially long-term injury to WR Allen Lazard. Now, that looks like Adams' return to action will come on Oct. 18, for the Week 6 showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Adams had 14 receptions (17 targets) for 156 yards and two touchdowns in Green Bay's 43-34 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. He had three catches for 36 yards in Week 2 before injuring his hamstring.
