It's always interesting to see what kinds of friendships are forged on Team USA during the Olympics. It's well-documented that the bond instilled between LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh in 2008 in Beijing eventually led to the formation of their Big 3 in Miami starting with the 2010-11 season.

This year, it's all about the rivals. DeAndre Jordan, a star center for the Los Angles Clippers, has surprisingly grown close to Draymond Green, who plays for his arch nemesis in Golden State.

For now, they're representing their country together, and the chemistry they've created has been palpable. But, what happens when they part ways after the completion of the Rio games?

From Sean Deveney of Sporting News:

Previously, DeAndre said that he didn't expect to become friends with various members of the Dubs:

“I wouldn’t ever think I would be friends with certain guys four months ago,” Jordan said, laughing. He’d recently hosted a team dinner at his home in Houston. “Before, there was no way I’d invite certain guys to my house.”

The Warriors and Clippers met in the first round of the 2014 playoffs, with L.A. knocking old Golden State in seven games. They nearly met again in the 2015 Western Conference finals before the Clips blew a 3-1 lead to the Houston Rockets.

The rivalry continued to burn hot into last year, and it will only grow with the insertion of Kevin Durant on the side of the Dubs. KD also met with the Clippers during free agency and reportedly told head coach Doc Rivers that they were in his top three.

We can only imagine what it would've been like if Russell Westbrook was also on Team USA with Durant.
