The Miami Dolphins have agreed to sign defensive lineman Emmanuel Ogbah to a two-year, $15 million deal, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The contract includes $7.5 million in guaranteed money.

Ogbah spent the 2019 campaign with the Kansas City Chiefs, but was knocked out after 10 games due to a torn pectoral muscle. During the time he was on the field, he was solid, registering 32 tackles, 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Oklahoma State, was originally selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 32nd pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He appeared in every contest in his rookie year, finishing with 53 tackles and 5.5 sacks. Ogbah's sophomore season was then cut short after 10 games due to a fractured foot, but when he was available, he logged 29 tackles, four sacks, a couple of forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and six passes defended.

Ogbah spent one more season with the Browns in 2018, participating in 14 games and recording 40 tackles, three sacks, a fumble recovery and eight passes defended.

Obviously, Ogbah has a rather checkered injury history, as he has not played a full season since his rookie campaign. That makes him a rather risky signing, but with the Dolphins in desperate need of defensive help and with Ogbah still being young and full of potential, you can understand the move from their perspective.

Many felt that Miami would be one of the worst teams in NFL history entering 2019, and early on, the Dolphins played the part, losing their first seven games. However, Miami rebounded to win five of its last nine contests, finishing 5-11.
