Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle put up yet another performance in what is turning out to be a memorable season for the rookie out of Alabama. The former Crimson Tide wideout toyed with the New Orleans Saints defense Monday night in the Fins' 20-3 road win, and in the process, managed to even one of the legendary Jerry Rice's records.

Jaylen Waddle’s 10 receptions tonight ties a rookie record for a MNF game. Jerry Rice had 10 catches (for 241 yards) as a rookie on a Monday Night in 1985.

Waddle finished the contest with 92 receiving yards and a touchdown on 10 catches and 12 targets. That's a huge target share for Waddle, as Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa went 19/26 in the game for 198 passing yards.

The future is truly bright for the 23-year-old Waddle, and regardless of whether the Dolphins make the playoffs or not this season, his place on Miami's offense as among its go-to players downfield is secure. So far this season, Waddle has 941 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 96 receptions. He has stepped it up of late, garnering at least 90 receiving yards in each of the Dolphins' last three games.

The Dolphins have two more games remaining on their regular-season schedule where Waddle will look to add to his numbers and, of course, help Miami to an unlikely playoff spot.
