The Philadelphia Eagles are shaping up to be the top contending team in the NFC East. The team is full of both new and old talents, and Lane Johnson is one of the last members of the 2018 Super Bowl team on the roster.

The three-time Pro-Bowler discussed the Eagles' potential on the GoJo Show. Host Mike Golic asked Johnson about the impression that Jalen Hurts has made on his teammates, especially because of the negativity he's garnered from the media.

“A lot of it goes down to what you do every day,” Johnson said. “He works his ass off. He always has a calm demeanor about him, keeps the team calm in the huddle and in the games…I'm excited about this year.

This is great news for Eagles fans, especially coming from such a well-respected member of the Eagles. While being a three-time Pro-Bowler and Super Bowl champion, Johnson has been a starting tackle for the Eagles since he joined the league in 2013.

“On paper, we're looking really good right now,” Johnson said. Of course, he noted that it's up to the team to perform to their potential and to “take it day-by-day.”

Hurts is shaping up to be a solid quarterback. He led the team to a playoff run last season during the Eagles' first rebuilding year and his first year as the starting quarterback. And, with the addition of AJ Brown to the Eagles' receiving core, Hurts has everything he needs to have a breakout year in 2022.
