Roger Goodell and the NFL are on the case. It seems like the San Francisco 49ers' thrashing of the Philadelphia Eagles will not be remembered in this battle. Rather, Dom DiSandro's scuffle with Dre Greenlaw led to both of them getting ejected. Officials have given their take on why the decision was the way it was but it is only now that they will be looking into the situation more deeply.

The NFL is currently investigating the incident that got Dre Greenlaw and Dom DiSandro thrown out of the game, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. There will also be a follow-up with the Eagles in the coming days because of how sensitive the issue has become.

Apparently, the Eagles' head of security could be in a lot of trouble. DiSandro made contact with the 49ers linebacker which was not at all supposed to happen. He was not even supposed to be on the field. This is because he was not part of the coaching staff. It might be seen as a sign of de-escalation and doing his job. But, some individuals would argue otherwise. The repercussions of these actions could result in restricting the Eagles personnel in their access to the field.

Greenlaw could also be handed a hefty fine or suspension if any new angles show him putting his hands first on the Eagles staff member. Roger Goodell and the NFL have a lot to do in this investigation. But, punishments could only go lighter or tougher from here on out.
