The Chicago Bears have been rumored as a team that is making a hard push to acquire Carson Wentz from the Philadelphia Eagles. If the Bears were to land Wentz via trade, the Eagles could reunite with Nick Foles, per Windy City Gridiron's Brandon Robinson.

With the offseason looming, the Eagles haven't made a concerted effort to make Wentz available via trade. However, teams are calling about his availability and Philadelphia is at least listening to what other teams are offering them for their former first-round pick.

Robinson shared that the Bears upped their offer for Wentz after the Indianapolis Colts got in on the bidding for Wentz. While Robinson said that Chicago currently has the best offer for Wentz, he revealed that Foles would likely be part of the deal due to Wentz not wanting competition on the roster.

During the 2020 season, Wentz had the worst year of his career with the Eagles as he completed a career-worst 57.4 percent of his passes for 2,620 yards, 16 touchdowns, and a league-worst 15 interceptions. Amid all of the speculation happening in Philadelphia, many believe Philadelphia's decision to draft Jalen Hurts in last year's draft led to Wentz being upset with his situation.

Of course, fans of the Eagles would likely welcome Foles with open arms, but his contract would be a tough pill to swallow as they would inherit a large dead-cap hit if Wentz is traded this offseason. With that being said, Foles could be making his way back to the team he won a Super Bowl with if the Eagles do in fact deal Wentz to the Windy City.
