A PSA to silence cell phones with Deadpool 3 (aka Deadpool and Wolverine) stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman has dropped. Before the MCU film plays in theaters, the two will remind fans to silence their phones in an NSFW way.
Thanks to social media about @MutantUpdates on X, the NSFW PSA has been released. It begins as Deadpool (Reynolds) and Wolverine (Jackman) are walking and hear a cell phone ring. Before they are interrupted, Reynolds' character is talking about Avengers: Secret Wars and who it's “finally” going to introduce.

“You get reception down here?” he asks Wolverine. “I don't have a phone,” he barks back.
The two then turn their attention to the viewer. Jackman speaks right into the camera, saying, “Hey, bub, you're in a movie theater, not in your mom's nursing home, so turn your f**king phone to silent or I'll shove it so far up your f**king a*s you'll have to answer it through your Godd**n throat.”
He's then interrupted by Deadpool who takes his “neck veins for a walk.” As the two leave the frame, Deadpool compliments Wolverine. “Nice fourth wall break back there — I didn't think you had it in you,” he says.
Wolverine then tells him to shut his expletive-filled mouth. They bleed out what he says, but it can be inferred that he drops a really bad word as Deadpool tells him that “they do not like that word in America, or Canada, or the Netherlands.”
What is Deadpool 3 about?
Deadpool 3 is the latest entry in the MCU and is directed by Shawn Levy. Levy co-wrote the script with Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells.
In the film, Deadpool is taken from his quiet life and enlisted for a mission by the TVA (Time Variance Authority). The mission has high stakes and will affect the MCU timeline as we know it. To assist, he brings Wolverine along on the mission and the two learn to co-exist.
This technically isn't the first time that Reynolds and Jackman's characters have crossed paths. The two were featured in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. However, that iteration of Reynolds' character was not the version seen in his solo films.
Shawn Levy has experience with both of his Deadpool 3 stars. He directed Jackman in 2011's Real Steel. His collaborative relationship with Reynolds began in 2021 when he directed him in Free Guy. They followed this up with The Adam Project one year later.
In addition to Reynolds and Jackman, Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen will also star in the film. Returning members of Fox's Deadpool film casts include Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Rob Delaney, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, and Stefan Kapičić.
Jennifer Garner will make her bombshell return to the comic book movie genre in Deadpool 3. She will reprise the role of Elektra in the film. She previously played the part in the Ben Affleck-led Daredevil and her own solo film. Levy directed her in The Adam Project.
Deadpool 3 is the sole MCU feature film being released in 2024. Marvel Studios and Disney alike are hoping for the film to turn around the franchise's recent box office downward trend.
