Caitlin Clark continues to impress in the WNBA. There's been some rough patches, but Clark is slowly acclimating to the pros. Against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, the Indiana Fever had a pretty rough game. However, her efforts in the game were enough to reach a feat rarely seen in the WNBA.
Even after scoring just 11 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and tallying six assists, Clark has reached 150+ points, 50+ assists, and 50+ rebounds in her first ten games in her WNBA career. The only other player to do that is… New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu. Talk about some great games from the Fever star!
“Caitlin Clark joins Sabrina Ionescu as the ONLY players in WNBA History to record:
150+ Points
50+ Rebounds
50+ Assists
Through their first 10 career games! 🤯”
Clark, the first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, has had a rocky first ten games. There have been some duds here and there: the Fever star is still adjusting to both her teammates and the physicality of the pro league. Turnovers have been an issue as well. However, she's also had some great games: some 30-point performances that have put the league on notice.
Unfortunately, Clark's performances have not been enough to put the Fever over the hump. There's a reason why this team has had high draft picks in the last two years, after all. They're still a struggling team that is still looking for their identity, after all. Still, there's plenty to like about this team, and the hope is that they start figuring out their stuff soon.

Before Caitlin Clark joined the Fever, there was another sharpshooter in the WNBA that's gained a lot of prominence in the last few years. Sabrina Ionescu never reached the level of popularity Clark gained in college, but she was one of the best players in her class. Like Clark, Ionescu's calling card is her shooting, with some comparing her range to Stephen Curry. Recently, in fact, Ionescu joined the NBA's Three-Point Contest in a special event with Curry.
Clark hasn't quite found the same accuracy she's had in college. She's shooting just 31% from deep and 37.6% from the field as a whole. The Fever star has 16.9 points per game, so she's still getting buckets; she's just doing it at an inefficient rate. In addition, the 5.6 turnovers per game definitely hurt her and the team. That being said, her free throw shooting (almost 90%) indicates that she's due to recover her shot sooner than later.
It hasn't been all bad for Caitlin Clark: her rebounding and playmaking have been pretty good for a rookie. Still, the Fever would prefer to have more efficient production from their star. The win over the Sky gave them their second win this season. Here's to hoping they finish strong and bring them some positivity.
