The Heisman trophy finalists are in! Michael Penix Jr., Bo Nix, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Jayden Daniels were the final four candidates that stood out this season. They are now one step closer to acquiring the highly-coveted individual trophy in all of college football. However, much like the College Football Playoff news, Mike Norvell and his squad were not pleased. Specifically, the Florida State football quarterback Jordan Travis was left off the list and this had fans furious.
“Florida State QB Jordan Travis isn't good enough to be invited to the Heisman Ceremony. But, he's good enough to keep his team out of the College Football Playoff. Absolute. Garbage,” David Eickholt of CBS Sports said after the news dropped.
Moreover, Some fans were even blasting the Heisman Trophy committee, “They claim Jordan Travis is so pivotal to this Florida State team that it keeps a P5 undefeated team out of the playoffs but he’s not good enough to be a finalist for the Heisman? Make it make sense. This is the downfall of sports.”
Meanwhile, other members of the Florida State football faithful even went as far as to say that the quarterback was better than Bo Nix, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jayden Daniels, and Michael Penix Jr., “Jordan Travis should unanimously be the Heisman winner. Fsu is nothing without him. It's shocking they can even show up to the games in uniform without him.”
Overall, it seems like the Florida State football squad and Mike Norvell are not being favored by the college football gods.
