Thelxie's Fantastic Adventures is one of the events added to Genshin Impact on Version 4.2. The event features the diver Freminet in his journey to create Thelxie for his client. In making Thelxie, he will require the Traveler's help with some things. One such thing is Purgation Counterstrike. If you're stuck in the event, don't worry. Purgation Counterstrike Stage 5 Guide – Chorus of Triumphal Advance
The event ends on December 11, 2023, at 3:59 AM server time. Make sure to finish the event and collect all of the rewards before the event ends.
Purgation Counterstrike Basics
Purgation Counterstrike is the combat event for the ongoing event. Players have to form a group of up to four characters to take down the stage's enemies. The goal is to gather as many points as possible in each stage. Players receive rewards for getting 2,000, 4,000, and 6000 points. Getting 6,000 points or more will also reward the player with every lower-tier reward. As such, the goal in each stage is to get at least 6,000 points. To make it easier to get points, this guide will assume that the player will select the Big Baddie difficulty, which has a Score Multiplier of x4.
Each stage has a special gimmick, which is in the form of Thelxie's “Water Imp's Chanson”. The Water Imp's Chanson is a special attack that the player can use, originating from Thelxie in the middle of the stage. This changes at every stage. Additionally, to help with team creation, each stage has two pre-built Trial Characters that the player can bring along. The player cannot field two of the same character.

Water Imp's Chanson: Triumphal Chorus
- For 20s after Prince Thelxie uses Triumphal Chorus, when active characters have more than 50% HP, that character's Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, Plunging Attacks, and Elemental Skill deals 100% increased DMG. Each attack that hits consumes 1% of the character's max HP. Can be triggered once every 0.3s.

Possible Team Composition
Based on the Water Imp's Chanson for this stage, fielding characters who deal damage via their Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, as well as their Elemental Skill, will shine here. Not only that, but bringing characters who has HP change mechanics are also viable options. Bringing Furina and Wriothesley in this Stage is a good idea.
- Furina (Trial or Own)
- You will likely be using her healing skill more often in this stage, but don't be afraid to switch to her damaging skill when your HP is high.
- Wriothesley (Trial or Own)
- Support Character
- As Wriothesley will be your main damage dealer in this team composition, bringing along someone who can help increase the damage he deals is a good idea. Examples of this include Shenhe if you have her for the Damage buffs or Bennet for the all-around support. You can also bring a shielder if you want so that you can focus on attacking.
- Off-field Elemental Reaction
- Running a Permafreeze composition here is a good idea since Wriothesley will be dealing Cryo damage. As such, you can bring an off-field Hydro character such as Xingqiu or Yelan to apply Hydro to the enemy and keep them frozen. This also has the added advantage of creating a Hydro resonance which will increase your character's HP, delaying their need to heal.
- Alternatively, you can run for a Melt composition instead. Bring Thoma along and/or Xiiangling to apply off-field Pyro damage to the enemy.
