Finally, all 32 of TEKKEN 8's launch roster is completed as the last of them has been revealed to be Heihachi Mishami's illegitimate daughter, Reina. Here is everything you need to know about TEKKEN 8's latest fighter.

Reina – The Purple Lightning

Reina Reveal/Gameplay Trailer

Reina is a high school student attending the Mishima Polytechnic School who has a peculiar interest in Jin Kazama, specifically wanting to fight him for some unexplained reason. Reina, as her nickname “The Purple Lightning” suggests, has lightning fast attacks, as well as a flexible move set that allows her to dodge opponents' attacks before unleashing her own to punish her enemy. We saw a bit of Reina's fighting prowess in the reveal/gameplay trailer above, and it's exciting to have a character like her in the roster, to say the least.

This will be Reina's debut in the TEKKEN series although it is rumored that her character isn't that unfamiliar to the infamous Mishima clan. Like her alleged father, Reina exudes a charismatic aura of evil on her, although she doesn't seem to be as nefarious as her alleged brother Kazuya and their father Heihachi. While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, it'll be interesting to see how TEKKEN 8's story develops from here and how the story will handle the reveal that Reina is actually Heihachi's daughter.

Reina completes the entire 32-man TEKKEN 8 roster. The most recent trailer showed off five characters: the already confirmed at the time Kuma, and the four characters that were confirmed to be part of the roster just on that day: Alisa Bosconovich, Lee Chaolan, Devil Jin, and Zafina. Together, they comprise the biggest launch roster for TEKKEN 8 just yet and one of the biggest launch rosters in all of the fighting game genre in general.

TEKKEN 8 will be coming out on January 26, 2024, on PlayStation 5Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
