It's been a while since we've seen the New York Giants at the top of the league. However, after signing Brian Daboll, it seems the franchise's luck is finally turning around. He brings in excitement and optimism, which is exactly what this team needed. Now, we have an update on Daboll's plans for the defense.

According to Jordan Raanan, Brian Daboll plans to keep Patrick Graham as the Giants' defensive coordinator. Graham has been a sought-after candidate and could be leaving for a head coaching job soon. However, if he ends up not getting hired, he'll remain as the defensive coordinator for New York.

Retaining Patrick Graham would be the most ideal scenario for New York. It would give the Giants consistency on the defensive side of the ball, which would be huge for this team. Considering the defense was the best part of the roster this season, it only makes sense to keep the coaching staff that helped it be successful.

We'll see how this plays out, as Graham has caught the attention of several other teams. However, he hasn't been amongst the top names of head coaching candidates. For that reason, there is a real chance Patrick Graham remains with the Giants for at least one more year.

The Giants are doing a great job of stacking the coaching staff. Their roster isn't all that bad and a lot of problems could be blamed on the previous coaches. With Brian Daboll in charge, New York is on the path to success once again.
