Michael Strahan spent all 15 years of his legendary NFL career with the New York Giants. He piled up 141.5 sacks during that time (6th all-time) and was a constant force in leading the Giants' defense to Super Bowl XLII.

He's already in the NFL Hall of Fame and now, the Giants will be retiring his No. 92.

Eli Manning was among the three former teammates of Strahan who appeared on Good Morning America on Wednesday to deliver the news to Strahan as they all wore his No. 92 Giants jersey.

Strahan noted that he's usually aware of when these announcements are coming and they are usually leaked to him but that he had no idea that this was happening.

It's a well deserved honor for one of the best to ever do it in a Giants uniform and he did so for 15 years, never playing for another team.

Strahan has numerous eye-popping statistical measures but he's perhaps most known for setting and NFL record with 22.5 sacks in a single season back in 2001. He would lead the league again in sacks in 2003 with 18.5.

The ceremony and retiring of Strahan's number will happen when the Giants welcome in their longtime NFC East rival in the Philadelphia Eagles on November 28th.

It's certain to be quite the spectacle for a fan favorite throughout his career and someone who represented the franchise perfectly on and off the field throughout his career. Congrats to Michael Strahan!
