Saquon Barkley's 2020 season is off to a rough start. The third year running back for the New York Giants had a subpar game on Monday against the tough Pittsburgh Steelers defense as the Giants lost their season-opener, 26-16. The Steelers seemed to have Barkley's number all-evening long as he was limited to a measly 6 yards after 15 carries.

This, per Reuben Frank of NBC Sports, is the 2nd-fewest yards in NFL history on 15 or more carries. Saquon Barkley only outdid Karim Abdul-Jabbar of the Miami Dolphins who recorded the fewest yards after 15 carries for just 5 yards in 1998. This was also Barkley's second lowest rushing tally in his NFL career.

If you're Saquon Barkley, this isn't the right chapter of the history books to write.

To make matters even worse for Saquon Barkley, he was out-rushed by Steelers QB Ben Roesthlisberger who had a total of nine rushing yards on Monday.

Saquon Barkley ended with six receptions for 60 yards with no touchdowns. He did pull off an incredible hurdle in the second quarter which gave Giants fans something to cheer about. Unfortunately, highlights were few and far between for Barkley as the Giants ended up with an opening-night defeat.

After an unbelievable rookie year where he was named the league's Rookie of The Year, Saquon Barkley continued to impress on his second year for New York. Barkley missed a few weeks last season with a high ankle injury but still managed to finish with 1,003 rushing yards to be the first ever RB in Giants' history to have 1,000 rushing yards in his first two seasons.
