Saquon Barkley will face the New York Jets for the first time in his career since being drafted by the New York Giants. While Barkley takes to the field on Sunday, his dad may be sporting a Jets jersey in the crowd.

Alibay Barkley, Saquon's dad, is an avid Jets fan and won't make an exception for his son. Despite wearing the Jets jersey, Saquon is under the assumption that his dad still wants the Giants to win the game.

“The win is for us,” Saquon said Thursday, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com. “But he’s also, I think what he said is he’s probably going to wear a Jets jersey. That is going to be an interesting one. I give it to him, because it’s a Joe Namath jersey. I think I got him that jersey actually, the Joe Namath one.”

Whether or not his dad is wearing a jersey of one of the current players on the Jets, there is some competition going on within the Barkley household. Regardless of the competition though, the Giants' superstar running back is focused on ending the team's five-game skid.

Due to the Giants' struggles, Barkley is having a somewhat down season compared to his rookie campaign in 2018. In his six starts this year, Barkley has rushed for 401 yards on 88 attempts and two touchdowns. Also, the dual-threat back has caught 28 passes for 228 yards and another score.

As for off of the field, Barkley is focused on defeating his dad's favorite NFL team. With his dad being a longtime Jets fan, you have to wonder if he wanted his son to be playing in green and white instead of blue and gray.
