New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo isn't exactly having a great season. Now, according to numerous reports, it is believed that there's almost no chance he will be back next season.

The latest in these reports comes from respected NFL reporter Benjamin Allbright:

This came slightly after ESPN had its own report, presumed to be from different sources, in which players are said to have given up on the coach.

Here’s one of the statements that ESPN acquired, transcribed by Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk.com:

“McAdoo has lost this team. He’s got us going 80 percent on Saturdays before we get on a plane to play a game, it’s wild. Changed our off day. He’s dishing out fines like crazy. Suspended two of our stars when we need them most. Throws us under the bus all the time. He’s ran us into the ground and people wonder why we’ve been getting got.”

This has been a wild turn of events for anyone who has followed the New York Giants the last few seasons.

Ben McAdoo was widely credited for helping to turn Eli Manning into a less turnover-prone quarterback. It was, at least largely, what landed him the head coaching job. A few years later, with Manning regressing back to old turnover form, and it appears as though it is only a matter of time before McAdoo is sent packing.

Obviously, there is still a lot of season left. However, unless New York is able to make a miraculous turnaround, the Giants might begin a hard-reset in the offseason.
