The New York Giants haven't traded any of their early first-round picks in recent years, but that could change in 2020. When speaking to the media on Tuesday, GM Dave Gettleman said that New York is open to trading back in the draft.

Before last season's draft, the Giants sent Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns. In the blockbuster trade, New York was able to secure another first-round pick.

The Giants have used their last three first-round picks on Saquon Barkley, Daniel Jones, and Dexter Lawrence. This time around, New York could be interested in moving back in an attempt to acquire more draft capital.

Following another dismal season, the Giants possess the No. 4 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. With the fourth overall pick, many people believe that New York is going to select an offensive tackle.

On the other hand, the Giants could listen intently on offers that other teams are willing to surrender. Ahead of the upcoming draft, Joe Burrow is the presumptive No. 1 pick to the Cincinnati Bengals.

After Burrow, there is going to be a scramble for teams to select both Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert. Provided that, the Giants, sitting at No. 4, could be a target for teams looking to trade up.

Trading back in the draft wouldn't be an awful idea for the Giants for multiple reasons. For starters, New York could still select the player they want if they move back just a couple of spots. In addition, they would be given more picks that can help them shape their roster.

There are still two months until the draft and anything can happen. From now and until then, Gettleman is making it known that the Giants are open for business in the draft.
