The US Open has a host of little-known names atop the leaderboard as the action shifts to day two on Friday. However, no name is more unknown than that of MJ Daffue, a former Korn Ferry Tour player who wasn't even planning on playing in the qualifier for The Country Club a month ago. Well, people may know Daffue's name after what he just did. The South African PGA player's tee shot accidentally landed onto a hospitality deck at The Country Club. Instead of opting for a drop, Daffue decided to play it off the deck. The result was a ridiculous shot.

What an absurd shot. Not only did Daffue have patrons looking over his shoulder, but he also had to hit the shot through the smallest of margins, with a tree trunk, branches hanging overhead and a fence all obstructing his path back to the US Open course.

Clearly, Daffue had the US Open ball right where he wanted it. Unfortunately, the South African PGA player didn't make the most of the shot, as he ended up bogeying the hole.

Still, Daffue is still tied for the US Open lead at the time of print. If he can keep hitting shots like that one, he should be in good shape.
