The Memphis Grizzlies absolutely destroyed the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night en route to a 39-point win. At one point, the Ja Morant-less Grizzlies were up by as much as 52 points in the game and they made sure to let the Warriors know about it.
Before Wednesday’s drubbing, Stephen Curry came out with a bold statement about Golden State’s strategy for Game 5. The Warriors superstar used the Grizzlies’ own “whoop that trick” mantra to describe what the Dubs were set out to do to their opponents. Unfortunately for Curry and Co., it was the exact opposite that went down.
During a timeout, the Grizzlies’ dance crew decided to sing their “Whoop that trick” song right in Curry’s face. The level of disrespect was unreal (h/t Ben Golliver of the Washington Post):

Stephen Curry knew they got their behinds whooped in this one so he just had to laugh off the incident. Even Draymond Green was having fun with it as he joined in on the chants.

This was a huge win for the Grizzlies and an utterly embarrassing defeat for the Warriors. Memphis will want to keep their celebrations in check, though, as this Dubs team won’t forget about the events that went down on Wednesday night.
