Guy Ritchie's upcoming film will be distributed by Lionsgate. The film will reunite Ritchie with Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill, and Eiza González.

Deadline reported that Lionsgate acquired Richie's next film. The film is still untitled and will be wrapping filming soon. Lionsgate had previously distributed Operation Fortune: Rise de Guerre, and purchased the rights to another one of his films, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (which stars González).

The Gyllenhaal and Cavill-led film is being kept under wraps. Deadline's report added that a source said the film “has an element of The Expendables to it.”

Henry Cavill, known for playing Superman in the DCEU (now DCU), previously starred in Ritchie's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. with Armie Hammer. He will star with González in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare with Alan Ritchson, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and The Gentlemen star Henry Golding.

Jake Gyllenhaal recently starred in Ritchie's film The Covenant. The war film follows a soldier and his mission with an Afghan interpreter.

Neither of Ritchie's last films have been box office successes. Operation Fortune only made $38 million, while The Covenant made just $21 million. Lionsgate is hoping to buck this trend. Aladdin made over $1 billion from Ritchie, and both The Gentlemen and Wrath of Man made over $100 million.

Guy Ritchie is known for his work in the crime genre. He began his career with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. He's since directed two Sherlock Holmes, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and Disney's Aladdin live-action remake.
