A McDonald's-themed PS5 DualSense controller went rounds on the Internet. While the most sensible question would have been “Why?”, the next question you should ask is “How?” Hence, a lot of PS5 players on the Internet are wondering where they can get the McDonald's DualSense controller.

How to get a McDonad's DualSense Controller for the PlayStation 5

The short answer: You can't.

The PlayStation 5's white controller looks elegant and regal, if a bit boring. If you're one of those who want to add a little spice to their DualSense controller, then surely this McDonald's DualSense controller has caught your eye. If the Midnight Black and Cosmic Red versions are still too bland to your liking, then you'd want to know how you can get your hands on one of these.

Interestingly, news came out that this wacky-looking McDonald's DualSense controller will be given away in Australia. This gives one an idea that you can only get this if you're from Down Under. In fact, that's what Press Start originally reported. There would have been 50 DualSense controllers that McDonald's would have given out during a live stream. If only the partnership was real and the live stream pushed through, that is.

When news got around about this particular DualSense controller, McDonald's of Australia was quick to bring out a recanting statement, saying: “Unfortunately, McDonald’s stream week has been postponed and won’t be going ahead this Sunday. We are unable to confirm a new date for the proposed event at this time. We will have some great prizing including Macca’s 50th Birthday Hoodies and 50 channel subscriptions for each streamer to give away. We will be in contact with the new timing as soon as we have it confirmed.”

Sony PlayStation has not authorized the use of its controller in promotional materials related to the proposed Stream Week event and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. McDonald’s stream week has been postponed and Sony PlayStation controllers will not be included in the giveaway.

So, there you go. You can't actually get one of these McDonald's DualSense controllers to your for your PS5 because it simply doesn't exist. It does exist as a concept design, but no physical version has ever been manufactured. Now, sell it as an NFT, maybe?
