Dozens of Oscars were given out at the 94th annual Academy Awards, and one of the most prestigious awards went to Will Smith. He received the Oscar for best actor for his leading role performance in ‘King Richard.'

However, this year's Academy Awards won't be remembered for Smith's award or anyone else's, Instead, it will be remembered for what Smith did moments before he won. Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, Will's wife, while on stage. This prompted Smith to go on stage and slap him.

The joke referred to Pinkett Smith's bald head, which she shaves due to her ongoing battle with alopecia.

Jada recently spoke about the incident for the first time on the latest episode of ‘Red Table Talk.' She said that since the Oscars, thousands of people have reached out to her to share their own experiences with the hair loss disease.

“About Oscar night. My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out, and reconcile…Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that's keep figuring out this thing called life together.”

This was the only time Smith discussed the incident in the episode, which was intended to “give our alopecia family an opportunity to talk about what it's like to have this condition and to inform people about what alopecia actually is.”

It seems like the two will be able to figure things out. Will Smith publicly apologized to Rock shortly after the incident, and Rock chose not to press charges against him.
