In a shocking development, the Jacksonville Jaguars have deactivated running back Leonard Fournette for Sunday. As weird as this news is, even weirder is part of the season as to why this is happened.

Per ESPN's Field Yates, the Jaguars decision to deactivate Leonard Fournette came, at least in part, because the running back missed a team photo. No. This is not a lie. This is real.

This is a legit LOL-worthy situation.

Leonard Fournette, who has been dealing with an injury, was previously removed from the team’s medical report and expected to play this weekend. He had actually been practicing with the team since Wednesday.

In lieu of Fournette, the Jaguars featured mostly TJ Yeldon in the backfield against the Indianapolis Colts last weekend. He did go for 122 rushing yards and a touchdown. It wasn’t a big dip in production.

Since this story's foundation is absurd, the postgame press-conference should be a real gem. Whenever a reporter asks — and a reporter will ask — about the rookie sensation being deactivated, one can only imagine what will be the team's response.

Well, we won't actually have to imagine. Rather, we will just have to wait until the game is over and a brave reporter asks a question that can only result in him or her being yelled at.

Fournette leads the team with 596 rushing yards and six rushing scores. Despite that, apparently team photos are really important and are a reason why a football player should not play in a football game.

Smile for the camera!
