Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars are getting hit hard, both on and off the field. They were utterly demolished in their Week 14 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, 20-0. But the bigger story has been, once again, surrounding head coach Urban Meyer.
After the game, a somber Trevor Lawrence was asked about the recent string of rumors circulating against Meyer. The Jaguars quarterback was honest in his assessment in that he didn't want any part of those discussions.

All I can control is who I am, how I treated people, the way I respond, and being as prepared as I can and playing the best I can. Today definitely wasn’t my best, but I felt like I was prepared. I felt like I saw everything well, especially early in the game. Then, like I said, it got away from us.”
The season-long drama centered on Urban Meyer has somewhat mitigated the struggles of Trevor Lawrence himself, who once again was rendered ineffective against the Titans on Sunday. The 2021 first-overall pick threw zero touchdown and four interceptions that neutered their offense entirely. The stuff about his coach is hardly what's on his mind.
“To your question, there’s only so much you can worry about that kind of stuff. There will be a time and place where that stuff is addressed. I don’t know exactly where that is with my involvement. I’m here to play ball and be the best quarterback I can and lead the team. I’m going to keep doing that, and I think everything will work itself out.”
The Jaguars have had a season to forget with Meyer, as they have been officially eliminated from the playoffs after the Week 14 loss. They dropped to 2-11 on the season with no positive takeaway at all.
